Stage 2 of USF’s requirement to increase password security occurred January 13, 2011
USF’s Password Policy section ‘VI.1′ states:
1. Passwords shall be refreshed biannually to reduce the impact of disclosure due to undetected theft of passwords or the sharing of passwords. In other words, passwords must be changed at least once per year. Attempting to refresh your password with the same identical password is not permitted.
As of January 13, 2011, if you have not changed or reset your password within the last 6 months you will be notified that your password has expired upon your next successful login.
